Murray Park School’s face masks policy

Murray Park School’s policy on face masks from November 2020 is as follows. This change has been made due to government guidance changing. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-in-education/face-coverings-in-education.

  • During any time on school site, staff will be required to wear face masks ‘whilst walking in corridors and communal areas where social distancing is difficult to maintain’. This will include outside at break and lunch time apart from on the field or courts. Staff can choose to wear face masks and/or visors if they wish to in the classroom.
  • Pupils (Y7-11) will be required to wear face masks ‘whilst walking in corridors and communal areas where social distancing is difficult to maintain’. This will include outside at break and lunch time apart from on the field or courts. Pupils can choose whether to wear face masks in classrooms if they choose to do so
  • Visitors, including contractors, are expected to wear face masks or visors at all times whilst on site between the hours of 8.15am to 4pm – inside and outside of buildings. Outside of these hours, masks/visors do not have to be worn but social distancing measures should be adhered to
  • Face masks for all staff/visitors/pupils should not have a slogan or inappropriate image and can be either disposable or re-useable
  • Staff/pupils/visitors should provide their own face masks/visors. Logoed, washable masks can be purchased from Student Services for £2.
