Using the careers section on the school website: what is available, how can students use it effectively?
The lessons incorporate the use of Skills Builder – a programme designed to help students understand what we mean by the eight different employability skills we teach them about (Listening, speaking, problem solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, leadership and teamwork). Each year, students work through progressively more complex examples of what each skill means, to develop their knowledge and understanding of what employers expect.
The programme of study is enhanced by enrichment activities organised within the school curriculum. Students can also attend a variety of extra-curricular activities.
